About this recipe

Dates are high in natural fruit sugars, so like all treats, should be consumed in moderation. However, they also provide a wide range of nutrients including fibre, iron and potassium, so are a far cry from nutrient-deficient processed sweet treats.

  • 4 tbsp cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa

  • 2 heaped tsp almond butter

  • Zest of an orange

  • 3 tbsp orange juice
