Ingredients
Step by Step Instructions
1 Lebanese cucumber (approx. 150g), cut into pieces
3 sprigs fresh flat-leaf parsley
3 sprigs fresh mint
1 lemon, flesh only, white pith & pips removed
1 orange, flesh only, white pith & pips removed
1 cm cube of fresh ginger, peeled
1 apple, cored & cut into pieces
60g fresh spinach leaves
50-100g ice cubes
50-100ml coconut water
Step 1
Place all the ingredients into a blender and whizz until smooth. Serve immediately.
Chef’s tips
Substitute the fruit and vegetables with any other green varieties to create your own variation e.g. pear, celery, grapes, kale, citrus fruits. Vary the amount of ice and coconut water to suit how thick you prefer your smoothie.
Nutrition
Coconut water has an almost perfect balance of electrolytes, minerals such as sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium, which help to keep cells hydrated and able to produce energy.
